Under the supervision of the Dutch Prime Minster Mark Rutte and the Dutch Minister Ploumen of foreign trade, Blue Medical and Arter Medikal signed a mutual agreement concerning the introduction of Blue Medical’s new Drug Eluting product line into the Turkish market.

Blue Medical, the global medical device company and innovator in the treatment of vascular diseases, today announced receiving the CE mark for Protégé NC, a non compliant drug eluting balloon. The new device will be launched worldwide. It follows the introduction of Blue Medical’s CE marked Drug Eluting Balloon Protégé and CoCr Stent on Drug Eluting Balloon Pioneer in March of this year. Blue Medical will continue to develop their novel DEB technologies into additional applications both for coronary and peripheral application. Read more

Blue Medical, the global medical device company and innovator in the treatment of vascular diseases, today announces the appointment of Noël Coopmans as Blue Medical’s CEO. Noël Coopmans brings more than 15 years of relevant business experience to his new role. Former CEO and founder of the company, Ronald A.M. Horvers, will continue to serve as CFO and CTO, ensuring a firm commitment to the company. The appointment followed the introduction of Blue Medical’s new drug eluting technologies in March of this year and their development into additional coronary and peripheral applications, marking an important new phase in the company’s successful history. Blue Medical today announced the global product launch of its CE approved drug eluting balloon (DEB) Protégé as well as its CoCr stent on DEB Pioneer. The full market launch of the new DEB technology is a major step forward in Blue Medical’s quest to improve the quality of life of patients with cardiovascular diseases, while at the same time reducing procedure costs.

Several studies have shown that direct stenting results in superior outcomes for patients regarding both direct procedural MACE and long term adverse events. The direct stent registry aimed at evaluating the performance of the Track CoCr stent device in direct stenting in a real world setting without preselection of patients. Enrolment for this continuous prospective registry took place in 4 Dutch centers.
